Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of our most frequently asked questions...

  1. How big is the boat? Our boats are 24 and 25 feet in length. They are center console boats with outboard motors.
  2. Does the boat have a bathroom? No. These are open fishing boats, there are bathrooms at the marinas before you depart and lots of trees on the beaches.
  3. Does the boat have shade? Yes, all boats are equipped with bimini tops.
  4. What kind of fish do we fish for? There are many species of fish in our area. We typically fish for Sea Trout, Redfish (Sea Bass), Snook, Shark, Sheepshead, Snapper and Tarpon (seasonal); just to name a few.
  5. How big are the fish? That is a difficult question to answer... Sharks and Tarpon are the largest fish we have, and they can weigh in excess of 100 lbs., but the normal range for our bay fish would be in the 15 to 25 inch range.
  6. Can everyone fish? If your party is 4 or less, yes, usually everyone can fish at the same time. However, if you have a large party of 5 or 6, you may have to take turns.
  7. Will the Captains clean our catch? Yes. Although we encourage catch and release, should you like to keep your catch, it will be cleaned for you.
  8. Can we take more than six on the boat? Do babies count? No more than six per boat. The U.S. Coast Guard regulation will not allow us to carry more than six passengers on a boat. Yes babies count, the USCG is like the IRS, everyone counts. If your party is larger than 6 we can arrange for you to have more than one boat and guide.
  9. Are toddlers too young? Only you know your child.....all children are welcomed.
  10. How much are the charters? Please see our Rates page.
  11. Can we take a charter longer than 4 hours? Yes, we offer charters from 2 to 10 hours. The rate would be pro-rated based on your party and if you are on a fishing trip or island excursion.
  12. Are your captains friendly? Yes. We are a family owned and operated business. We want your entire experience from reservation to the end of your excurision to be an enjoyable experience for you.
