Cabbage Key is an island only accessible by boat located in Pine Island Sound close to Cayo Costa Island.

One hundred acres of tropical vegetation surround this historic restaurant, inn and cottages. There are no cars, not even a paved road. You will find winding nature trails, picturesque views and relaxation. Remote and self-reliant, they do things "the Cabbage Key way," a style reminiscent of the nearly extinct old Florida. During the day many visitors stop in for one of their Cheeseburgers in Paradise. There is no general store on the Island, so bring all the things you'll need.
The main dining room is nestled among live oak trees dripping moss. Previous visitors have taped thousands of one-dollar bills to every surface. Ask your server for a marker and tape to add yours to the collection.
The front room is the old porch with a view of the marina and sound beyond. Look around at antique fishing gear, photographs of action on the water and replicas of tarpon, snook and other game fish that make our waters world famous.
